More Power tower project exclusive interview

KOAM’s General Manager Brook Arnold sat down with Tawnya Bach during the KOAM Morning News On Fox 14 to talk about the More Power tower project.

KOAM is replacing its old transmission tower antennas and many people have had some questions about the transition. Brook addressed many of the concerns and questions people have had, from the reasons behind the new tower to digital transmission and on-air signals.

She also addressed details about the transition process and what a viewer will need to make sure they receive a clean KOAM signal when the time comes.

International Showcase heads to Pittsburg State University

Pittsburg State University hosts an International Showcase on March 5th. PSU students Marlon Merida and Claire (Yu-Hsuan Chen) sat down with Michael Hayslip in the KOAM studio to talk about the event. Here are some of the details:

  • The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 pm
  • Held at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts
  • Food samples served from 5:30 to 6:45 pm in the lobby and art gallery
  • $1 at the door and food samples are $1 while supplies last
  • Performances start at 7:00 pm

$200,000 stolen Mustang from Tulsa found in rough shape

TULSA, Okla. – A 1967 Shelby Mustang GT-500 stolen from Tulsa worth $200,000 has been found about 20 miles south of the city in Mounds.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, the vehicle is in tact, but the doors, hood, and front fender have been removed.

20-year-old Nicholas Chamberlin was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the case.

He is charged with Larceny of an Automobile and 2nd Degree Burglary.

A stolen dump truck and stolen sedan were also found in the area.

The investigation is ongoing for the Tulsa Police Department.

The car will be returned to its owner.
