UPDATE: Pittsburg police identify 44-year-old found dead in home

Pittsburg, KS — Police find the body of a woman who had not been heard from in days. The discovery came on Monday around 12:35 pm.

The woman was found at 1105 W 4th St., across from Bo’s One stop. Officers and Crawford County EMS arrived on the scene and discovered her body inside the residence.

The death is being treated as suspicious at this time. The Pittsburg Police Department has not released the identity of the woman at this time as they are notifying the next-of-kin.

Pittsburg Police arrest homicide suspect

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Police Department has a homicide suspect in custody.

Authorities arrested 23-year-old Bri’yon Ezra Baker early Sunday morning for the murder of 18-year-old Jase Elizabeth Delich.

Investigators say Delich was shot at an apartment on the 400 block of Broadway Street Saturday night and died at the scene.

Police arrested Baker who is from Tennessee after reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses.

Baker is facing 2nd degree murder charges and is in the Crawford County Jail where he is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a homicide

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a homicide.

Authorities were called to an apartment on the 400 block of Broadway Street before 6:30p.m. Saturday.

Police say the caller reported a woman lying on the floor of the apartment bleeding.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
