Oklahoma City, OK — Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill to allow law enforcement to keep secret audio or video recordings showing an officer dying in the line of duty. The bill Stitt signed was drafted after Tulsa police were required by Oklahoma law to release video of a suspected shooting of two officers, one of whom later died. The bill prohibits the public disclosure of such a video unless a judge determines the public interest outweighed the reason for denial. It also authorizes a deceased officer’s family members to view the audio or video.

Joplin, MO — Baby formula may be harder to find for some. A shortage of baby formula, inflation, and product recalls have made it harder for families to find it. The Newton County health department’s WIC program says they’ve been receiving more calls asking what to do if parents cannot find the formula. Joplin, MO — Joplin school district staff members are going to see some pay raises. The Joplin board of education on Tuesday approved an updated agreement with employee’s bargaining units to provide the raises across most positions. Those units — Joplin National Education Association and Joplin Education Support Professionals — have been fighting for pay increases. Pittsburg, KS — Pittsburg police worked on their cardio — for a good cause. As part of the 41-st annual law enforcement torch run — officers ran from the Pittsburg police department to Pitt State’s football field — passing the torch to each other on the way.
