Katie was born June 1, 1988 in Fulda, Germany. Her parents were Douglas Wayne and Elizabeth (Dela Cruz) Combs. She had lived in Carl Junction the past 4 years, but lived most of her life in Galena, KS.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Empire Mission Church in Galena. She enjoyed making crafts and going camping at the river. Her kids were her life.
Katie was married to Albert D Gordon on April 21, 2018 in Taylor, Michigan. He survives.
Additional survivors include seven sons, Joshua Thompson, Damien Gordon, Albert Gordon Jr, Darius Dunham, Kenian Evans, Elijah Gordon and Judeah Gordon; three daughters, Alexis Dunham, Elena Girard, and Maddison Gordon, all of the home; her mother, Elizabeth Combs, Neosho, MO; two brothers, Douglas Wayne Combs Jr, Columbia, SC, and Shawn Girard, Detroit, MI; four sisters, Crystal E Girard (Samuel Allen), Webb City, MO, Cecilia Ballard (Chris), Galena, Lauren Hillis, Detroit, and Carolyn Girard, Detroit; and Kody Evans, (father of Kenian and Elena), Alba, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Wayne Combs; her grandmother, Carolyn Girard, and Nick Dunham (father of Alexis and Darius).
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. Brad Price will be the Eulogist.
