Four-State Staycation: Keltoi Vineyard

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. –  Keltoi Vineyard is an Irish themed winery based in Jasper County, Missouri. It was established in 1997 when Erv and LeeAnn Langan purchased 43 acres north of the former town of Medoc.

“I didn’t know what I was thinking twenty years ago when I started this” says Erv Langan. “But for being all the way out here, we seem to get a pretty good crowd.”

The next year, the Langans planted their first acre of St. Vincent grapes which they pressed into a semi-dry red wine. Since then, Keltoi vineyard expanded to include about six acres of grapes, a bar and a walking trail titled Maynooth Park.

“We’ve been around for a long time and it kind of organically grew into this really beautiful place,” said wine maker Andrew Pennington. “Erv and LeAnn made it a great place to sit out with a glass of wine. We’re a gem out here at Keltoi you got to find us and if you know about us great.”

You can find Keltoi Vineyard at 17705 Co Rd 260, Oronogo, MO. It’s open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visit keltoivineyard.com for more information.
