A project to relocate the residents of a former Southeast Kansas town figuratively and literally undermined by its mining history has entered its final phase. The Treece Relocation Assistance Trust has scheduled a land auction for 10:30 a.m. today at the Ottawa County Road Department office, formerly Picher City Hall, 1001 N. Connell St., in what was the nearby town of Picher, Okla.
