Terry June Rose, 92, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, December 3, 2022. Terry was born June 8, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey Lloyd Wolverton and Irene Isabell (Caldwell) Wolverton. She was a 1948 graduate of Carthage High School, and later received her LPN degree from Franklin Tech. Terry married Leonard R. Rose in 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked as charge nurse at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage until her retirement. Terry attended First Christian Church in Carthage. She loved gardening, sewing, and watching her birds out the window whenever she could, but most of all, loved her family.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Wells (Patricia), Carthage, Missouri, and Kelly Wells (Ray), Anaheim, California; a daughter, Kathy Loyd (David), Diamond, Missouri; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Lloyd Wolverton; her mother, Irene Isabell Baxter; her husband, Leonard R. Rose; and a sister, Geneva Aubrey.

Graveside services will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Terry will lie in state at the mortuary from 8 am to 5 pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, for those who wish to pay their respects and sign the register book.
