Steven “Steve” Martin Arnold, age 74, Asbury, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022.
Steve was born February 1st, 1948 to the union of C.V. (Yip) and Grace (Martin) Arnold. He was born and raised in Lamar, MO and was a 1966 graduate of Lamar High School. He played high school football for Lamar and was awarded a “full ride” scholarship to play for Missouri Southern College. He married the love of his life, Deanna Bendure on August 15th, 1970 at Waco Christian Church in Waco, Missouri. Together they were blessed with three children, Doug, Matt, and Greg Arnold. Steve and Deanna celebrated their 52-year anniversary this year. He enjoyed digging with his backhoe and mowing the grass. Steve was a hard worker and loved getting his hands dirty. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and football, but especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their activities. Steve enjoyed working on projects with his sons. Steve was a member of Waco Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Arnold; brother, Bob Arnold; and his mother and father-in-law, Jess and Phyllis Bendure.
Steve is survived by his wife of the home, Deanna Arnold; two sons, Doug Arnold (Tonya) and Matt Arnold; six grandchildren, Kadynce Arnold, Olivia Arnold, Georgia Arnold, Max Arnold, Gracie Arnold, and Morgan Arnold.
There will be a visitation Monday, September 12th, 2022 at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 at Waco Christian Church (127 Stockholm Waco, MO 64832) at 1:00 p.m. with Johnie Adkins officiating.
