David Irwin Armstrong, age 51 of Fredonia, KS, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO.
David was born January 23, 1971 in Fredonia, KS to Elizabeth Armstrong and James Millar. He grew up in New Albany, and attended Fredonia High School, graduating in the class of 1989. Growing up, David watched his dad work on cars, and began learning the trade from a young age. He would take toys apart that his mom gave him, just to put them back together again. This is something he always enjoyed doing, whether it was working on the motor, or the whole car. He always kept his truck full of tools, because he never knew when someone would need help working on something of theirs.
When David wasn’t working in the oilfield, he enjoyed riding 3-wheelers and motorcycles, and helping his friends. Whether you knew him as Crazy Dave, Danger Dave, or Do it all Dave, you knew he would stop whatever he was doing to help you.
Survivors include his sons, Ethan Armstrong and Marshall Armstrong, both of Fredonia, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and James.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, KS
