Car overturns, coming to rest on its top near Seneca, Mo.

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday night reports of an overturned car on Bethel Road, north of Seneca, Mo. alerted Newton County Central Dispatch.

Seneca Fire, Newton County Ambulance, and Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded. The Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified. Seneca Police Department responded to assist.

On the scene we learn from Tpr T.R. Morris it was a single vehicle crash, traveling northbound on Bethel, and two people were transported to area hospitals.

The driver of the 2020 Chevy Spark was Natasha Ford, 49, of Wyandotte, Okla. she suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman West at Joplin.

The passenger Jennifer Langford, 44, also of Wyandotte, suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Miami Integris Hospital at Miami, Okla.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts.

Doug’s Wrecker removed the car and debris from the scene.

Tired driver goes off road, overturns against rock embankment

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Around 9:15 p.m. Saturday night Newton County Central Dispatch were alerted to reports of a crash along Gateway near River Road.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Ambulance, Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

We learn on the scene from Tpr T.R. Morris it was a one vehicle crash.

The minivan was traveling south on Gateway nearing the bottom of the hill approaching River Road. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and then overturned violently against the exposed rock embankment.

The male driver was the only occupant. He was not injured. He was wearing his seat belt.

Troopers believe the driver fell asleep while driving.

Chuck’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

Three vehicles collide and two end on their side, west of Neosho, Mo.

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. – Just before 8 a.m. Monday morning tipsters told us of a three vehicle crash to the west of Carver School in Newton County.

The crash was located at the intersection of Norway Road and Hammer Road. Neosho Fire District, Newton County Ambulance and Newton County Deputies had responded along with Missouri State Highway Patrol.

On scene Trooper T.R. Morris of the Newton/McDonald detachment of Troop D tells us three vehicles were involved in the crash. They are still investigating if others left the scene before officers arrived, however there were no injuries.

A pickup truck and an SUV both ended on their side in the crash, while a white passenger car remained on all four wheels.

I-49 Towing and Poore’s Wrecker removed the vehicles from the crash scene.

We anticipate more information to be released later Monday.
