Jasper County police arrest two caught stealing mail

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Police arrest two people in Jasper County for stealing mail, including an envelope that contained a $1,200 check.

On June 22, a Jasper County Deputy was checking a vehicle under the White Oak Birdge near State Highway 37 and Incline Road when he saw a male sitting in a tall grassy area. Police say he ducked down as if to hide. The deputy made contact with two people in the area, 49-year-old Frederick Foshag of Carthage, Missouri and 49-year-old Heidi Masters of Pittsburg, Kansas. Both had warrants out for their arrest.

While investigating the area, the deputy found opened mail where the two were sitting. Among the mail was a check for over $1,200. The owner of the mail was contacted and the mail was returned.

Pittsburg woman takes stolen vehicle to McDonalds drive-thru

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pittsburg police arrest a woman after they say she took a stolen vehicle to McDonalds for breakfast.

Authorities say they received a stolen vehicle report Friday morning at 6:24 a.m. on the 1100 block of S Elm St. in Pittsburg. The victim reported a woman with long white hair got into his 2021 Nissan Altima and drove away. Police say the keys were left in the exterior lock of the home’s front door.

Pittsburg police located the vehicle at around 6:37 a.m. driving north on Broadway Street. Authorities arrested the 55-year-old driver. Before her arrest, it was revealed the woman made a stop at the McDonald’s drive-thru and purchased breakfast. She was booked in the Crawford County Jail for felony theft where she’s held on a $3,000 bond.

Formal charges have not yet been filed.

Thief steals catalytic converter from Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa County van

MIAMI, Okla. – The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa County and authorities need help finding people they believe stole from the club.

They say on Feb. 17 someone stole a catalytic converter from one of the club’s vans.
