Noel Deputy Marshals arrest man pushing shopping cart out back of Harps at 1 a.m.

NOEL, Mo. — The early hours of Sunday, September 4, 2022, around 1 a.m. Noel Marshals were dispatched to Harps Grocery, 508 Cliffside Drive, for an alarm sounding. While responding, dispatch received an additional call from the alarm company of another alarm at Harps for interior motion.

Upon the arrival of Noel Deputy Marshals, a subject was observed exiting the back of a store with a cart with numerous items including alcohol. The subject, later identified as Anthony Elliot, 36 of Hutchinson, KS. was detained and transported to the McDonald County Detention Center.” — Sgt Travis Sheppard

Elliot has been charged by the McDonald County Prosecutor’s Office:

  • Burglary 2nd Degree
  • Stealing

Bond has been set at $5000.00 cash or surety.

Neosho man arrested, charged in stabbing at Noel

NOEL, Mo. — About 12:55 p.m. Monday Noel Marshals were dispatched to 400 block of North Cliffside Drive, a parking lot of Tyson Foods, to reports of an assault.

On scene officers identified two people involved. Both males and both suffered injuries.

The victim, suffering stab wounds, was flown to a Springfield, Mo. hospital. Update on his condition is unknown at this time.

McDonald County Prosecutor, Maleia Chaney, filed charges in the incident. An arrest warrant has been issued for Bereft Fred, 23, of Neosho, Mo.:

  • Assault 1st Degree
  • Armed Criminal Action

Fred suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rogers, Ark. for treatment. He was released and is being held in the Benton County Arkansas jail on a $50,000 bond awaiting extradition back to McDonald County, Mo.

Sgt Travis Sheppard of the Noel Marshal’s office tells us this is an isolated incident. There is no threat to the public.
