SUV overturns in collision with pickup, Duquesne Road

JOPLIN, Mo. — About 2:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022 reports of a two vehicle crash, one overturned, at 32nd and Duquesne Road alerted Joplin Emergency Dispatch.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police and EMS responded. Duquesne Police Dept responded to assist with traffic.

On the scene we learn from Joplin Police Ofc Hayden Hinkle there were no injuries in either vehicle. No one was transported to a hospital.

Rosenberg Towing removed the overturned Tahoe. And Chuck’s Towing removed the pickup.

The crash and all debris was cleared in less than an hour, about 3:30 p.m.

Pickup goes off Lone Elm curve, overturns

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just after 6 p.m. Friday evening, November 4, 2022 reports of a pickup overturned near Hickory Hills along Line Elm alerted Jasper County E-911.

Jasper County Deputies, Carl Junction Fire, METS ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene we learn from MSgt Brad Crockett the pickup traveling south on Lone Elm went off road and into a yard, and flipped to its side.

The 17-year-old male driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Rosenberg Recovery and Towing removed the pickup from the crash scene.

There was steady rain and limited visibility at the time of the crash.

Two unrelated crashes along I-44 during deluge of rain

JOPLIN, Mo. — About 6p.m. Monday evening reports of a vehicle overturned on I-44 near 6 mile marker eastbound alerted Joplin Emergency 911.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police Dept, METS ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to assist.

About the exact same time a vehicle crashed into the median on the westbound side near 7 mile marker.

Regarding the overturned vehicle near 6 mile marker we learn two people who were alert were transported to an area hospital. Status of injuries were unknown.

The Joplin area experienced a deluge of rain about that same time as a thunderstorm rolled through the area. It’s believed the added rainy conditions played a part in these crash events. 

The vehicle into the median was only occupied by the driver, who was not injured. The car was towed by Rosenberg Towing.

The overturned vehicle was towed by an unknown company. The crash was cleared about 7:40 p.m.

SUV overturns in t-bone crash on Joplin’s Rangeline Road

JOPLIN, Mo. — Just after 9:30 a.m. Friday morning at 20th and Rangeline reports of a two vehicle crash, with rollover alerted Joplin E-911.

Joplin Fire Dept Ladder 5, Rescue 1, Joplin Police, METS1 and METS32 ambulance responded. Duquesne Police Dept and MoDOT Emergency Response responded to assist.

On the scene Joplin Police tell us two vehicles were involved. A white passenger car traveling north on Rangeline t-boned an SUV westbound on 20th.

Officers said one vehicle did not stop at the intersection. They were not specific in which vehicle as the investigation was ongoing.

The SUV overturned and came to rest slightly under the trailer of a semi. The semi was not damaged and was driven from the scene.

The only injury was the driver of the SUV, adult male, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The male was not wearing his seat belt.

The intersection was cleared by Rosenberg Towing and another unknown tow company.

Car leaves MO-66 and overturns multiple times near Joplin, Mo.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Shortly before 5 p.m. reports of a single vehicle crash on West 7th just west of Central City Road alerted Jasper County E911.

Carl Junction Fire, METS ambulance and Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies responded.  Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On the scene the crash was located near West 7th and Cottonwood Lane, which is a dead end parallel road to West 7th.  A small red passenger car had overturned numerous times, coming to rest in the north ditch.

Tpr S. Glass tells us it was a single vehicle crash with two occupants of the vehicle.  The male driver refused medical treatment.  The female passenger was alert and talking, transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car traveled off the right side of the road, then into the ditch, overturning at least two times Tpr Glass estimated as he was still completing his preliminary crash investigation.

Rosenberg Towing removed the vehicle and debris from the crash scene.

Joplin woman killed in crash on Route 66 west of Joplin

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just after 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Jasper County E911 were alerted to reports of a two vehicle crash at W 7th and Central City Road.

Carl Junction Fire Dept, METS ambulance, and Jasper County Deputies responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

An off-duty Joplin firefighter initially assisted before crews arrived.

On scene we learn from Tpr T.C. Smith a southbound passenger vehicle on Central City Road failed to yield to an eastbound vehicle on West 7th. Both traveled into the SE ditch.

Dylan Anderson, 20, was operating a 2005 Ford 500. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman West by private vehicle.

Cynthia Myers, 71, of Joplin, was transported by METS to Freeman West where she was pronounced deceased. Next of kin were notified overnight. Joplin News First delayed the released of any information and images until the initial publishing of this article.

Rosenberg Towing removed the crashed vehicles from the scene.

T-Bone crash, both drivers injured, west of Joplin, Mo.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just before 1:15 p.m. Saturday reports of a T-Bone crash at West 7th and Central City Road alerted Jasper County E911.

Carl Junction Fire, METS ambulance and Jasper County Deputies responded emergency. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene we learn the westbound lanes were completely blocked for a short time. Then traffic, one lane, was allowed to slowly pass the crash on the shoulder.

Tpr B.D. Vaught of Missouri State Highway Patrol tells us a northbound white PT Cruiser was T-Boned by a black passenger car. The crash then came to rest in the westbound lanes. 

Two were transported to area hospitals, the driver of each car, with non-life threatening injuries.

Rosenberg Recovery and Towing removed both vehicles from the roadway as Carl Junction Fire controlled traffic through the area.

DWI crash, man suffers serious injuries rolling vehicle at Belle Center curve

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday Jasper County Emergency 911 were alerted to reports of a crash at Belle Center and Central City Road.

Carl Junction Fire, METS ambulance and Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies responded.

METS ambulance transported the male driver to Freeman West hospital suffering serious injuries. 

Tpr J.L. Prewitt of the Missouri State Highway Patrol releases more information.

Anthony Lockhart, 58, of Joplin, was driving the 2013 Honda Accord, westbound on Belle Center.

[Honda]  failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the roadway, struck a road sign, and overturned.” – Tpr J.L. Prewitt of Troop D

Lockhart was arrested and released to receive medical care.

The vehicle was totaled. It was removed by Rosenberg Recovery & Towing.
