Monett man dies in lawn mower accident at Jolly Mill Park

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. – A Monett, Missouri man dies in a lawn mower accident Thursday evening.

It happened at Jolly Mill Park 3 miles south of Pierce City around 5:45 p.m. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol 72-year-old Raymond Haddock lost control of the lawn mower and overturned into a creek

Haddock was pronounced dead at the scene

Wrong-way crash kills two from Pierce City, MO

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. – Two Pierce City, Missouri residents die in a wrong-way crash on I-44.

It happened around 5:23 a.m. Wednesday about half a mile east of Mount Vernon, Missouri. 67-year-old David Galer and his passenger, 45-year-old Joanne Merritt, were heading east in the westbound lane of I-44 when they struck a box truck head-on.

Both Galer and Merritt were pronounced dead at the scene.
