C.B.D. AUTO+ is an interesting name but it has nothing to do with CBD oil we were told. On their FB page it is just by chance the owners last names make the LLC name. They do not sell CBD products here.

Webb City Battalion Chief Jeremy Denton tells us on scene employees were working on a vehicle inside the building bay and fire erupted. They were unable to get two vehicles out, both burned.

B.C. Denton says that no workers were injured and no firefighters.

With the temperature at 95° it actually felt like it was over 100°. METS ambulance were busy passing out water to everyone on the scene and checking on firefighters.

The building interior appears to be a total loss.

During the fire before our arrival numerous people messaged us about hearing a loud boom. We learn on scene it was an oxygen tank that exploded. It could be heard in Carterville, and even a door of a residence was blown open in Hidden Acres miles away.

BC Maples says no one was injured, however some will have ringing ears for a while.

Fire was declared out shortly after 2:15 a.m. Final units left the scene about 4 a.m.

“The house is a total loss,” BC Maples states.
