Former Chiefs player Tyreek Hill in Joplin for football camp

JOPLIN, Mo. — Although Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins this spring he returned to Missouri to football camps this week encouraging kids.

Friday evening at Joplin High School he stated, “My heart is Kansas City.”

In late March 2022 it was announced that Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins for a handful of draft picks.

Hill has played his entire NFL career in KC. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He attended Garden City Community College, Oklahoma State University, and the University of West Alabama.

“Who knows you might see me back here in three years,” Hill said to the Joplin crowd of about 500 who loudly cheered.

This was a private one day camp. It was not open to the public.

This fall will be his first with the Miami Dolphins as wide receiver.
