Tractor trailer overturns on MO-76, near Longview, Mo.

McDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – Just after 6 a.m. Monday, December 5, reports of a tractor trailer overturned on MO-76, east Longview near State Route JJ alerted McDonald County E-911.

MoDOT is controlling traffic through the crash area as the westbound lane of MO-76 is blocked for clean up and recovery. Expect periodic delays. Avoid the area if possible.

Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us on scene the driver was not injured in the crash.

The westbound tractor trailer (tanker hauler) left the roadway to the right and overturned. The hauler is fully loaded. They will remove the contents and set it upright before tow.

About 9 a.m. a vacuum truck arrived.

Ron’s Towing and Metro Towing are recovering the tractor trailer.

5-vehicle crash in Joplin; Child suffers life-threatening injuries

JOPLIN, Mo. — About 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 reports of a multi-vehicle crash at E 32nd and Connecticut alerted Joplin E-911.

Joplin Fire, Newton County Ambulance, METS ambulance, Joplin Police responded.

On the scene we confirmed it was a 5-vehicle chain reaction crash in the westbound lanes approaching the intersection.

Cpl Sean Higgins tells us seven people were injured. Six with minor injuries. And a minor child suffered life-threatening-injuries.

Metro Towing and Cotrill’s Towing were summoned to remove vehicles. Two vehicles were driven from the scene. Three were towed.

Joplin Police marked the vehicles for crash investigation. The roadway was cleared to all traffic about 11:15 a.m.

Tractor trailer fire closes I-49 Bella Vista Bypass

McDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — Shortly after 1 p.m. Monday reports of tractor trailer fire on I-49 near 3 mile marker, the Bella Vista Bypass, alerted McDonald County E911.

McDonald County Deputies, Pineville Fire and White Rock Fire responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

We learn on scene as the trailer became fully involved, the driver unhooked and pulled forward to safety. 

As the trailer continues burning, the trailer disintegrated and the flaming load spread across both southbound lanes.

I-49 was completely halted. Pineville Marshals, Missouri State Highway Patrol and McDonald County Deputies diverted all southbound traffic to US-71 Jane, Mo./Bella Vista, Ark.

Metro Towing was summoned to remove the trailer and debris from the scene. The fire was still burning at 5:30 p.m. as a thunderstorm was rolling through the area. One lane is open to southbound traffic as of 4:20 p.m.

I-49 crash near Tipton Ford, Mo.; Slow vehicle rear-ended at highway speeds

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Just after noon on Thursday reports of a crash along I-49 north of the Gateway exit alerted Newton County Central Dispatch.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton Co Deputies, Newton Co Ambulance responded emergency. Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT Emergency Response were notified.

On scene we learn two vehicles involved and an unknown number injured.

Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us one rear-ended another at highway speeds, both were in the northbound lanes.

The crash location is I-49 north of Tipton Ford in northbound lanes, mile marker 34.8.

Metro Towing removed both vehicles from the crash scene. Traffic was flowing as normal about 80 minutes after the crash.

Car overturns in Newton County crash

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — About 5:30 a.m. reports of a single vehicle crash along Route P just east of Freedom Lane alerted Newton County Central Dispatch.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies responded. Driver said he was not injured. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper tells us on scene a single vehicle crash, traveling east on Hwy P left the roadway and overturned in the south ditch.

The driver was the single occupant and not injured.

Metro Towing removed the overturned vehicle and debris.

SUV into Shoal Creek at Gateway Drive; Redings Mill Water Rescue Team retrieve driver from roof

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — About 9:30 a.m. Monday morning reports of a vehicle into Shoal Creek off Gateway.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Ambulance and Newton County Ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Sam Carpenter tells us it was a single vehicle crash. Driver was transported by Redings Mill Water Rescue to dry land. He was not injured.

USE TWO FINGERS TO NAVIGATE THE GOOGLE MAP LOCATION OF CRASH.

The SUV was traveling north on Gateway, left the roadway and then traveled down to the bank and into the water.

The vehicle is near the middle of the creek partially under the bridge. And up to the roof.

Trooper J.S. Baird on the scene tells us the driver fell asleep and traveled off the road and into the creek.

Metro Towing removed the SUV with assistance from Redings Mill Fire.

Tractor trailer overturned on Apple Road

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just after 2:15 p.m. on Thursday reports of a tractor trailer overturned on Apple Road east of Joplin, near CR160.

On scene Missouri State Highway Patrol told us the driver was not injured.

The trailer is full of dried foods, like oatmeal. 41,000 pounds will have to be offloaded by hand before the tractor and trailer can be set upright.

Metro Towing and their crew are working in what feels like 0° when you factor the wind chill.
