Woman killed in wreck west of Adair, OK

ADAIR, Okla. – A Northeast Oklahoma woman dies following a wreck in Mayes County Wednesday evening.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol it happened at 4:19 p.m. at the intersection of US-28 and 427 Road. Police say a car heading east failed to yield at stop sign and collided with a truck. The driver of the car, 22-year-old Leah Hendrex of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma died at the scene.

The other driver received treatment for injuries at the hospital and was released.

This article has corrected that it was the car, not the truck, that failed to yield.
