Plane crash, two dead report Oklahoma Highway Patrol

ELLIS COUNTY, Okla. — Monday morning about 8:30 a.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol report of a plane crash at Gage Airport.

Two people died.

“The crash involved a Cessna 170 and both occupants of the aircraft died in the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration will be conducting the investigation into exactly what happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families involved.”

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

Fatality aircraft incident occurred at approximately 0825 hours on 11-28-2022 at the Gage airport located approximately 1 mile southwest of Gage, OK in Ellis county.
Aircraft: Cessna 170, N2710D
Occupant 1: James Wade Bruce, white male, age 54 of Shattuck, OK. Pronounced deceased at the scene.
Occupant 2: David Rondel Dodd Jr, white male, age 30 of Austin, TX. Pronounced deceased at the scene.
What happened: Under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
