Crash with commercial vehicle in Joplin’s Eastmorland Neighborhood

JOPLIN, Mo. – Friday morning just before 9:30 a.m. Joplin Dispatch were alerted to reports of a crash at 15th and S Highview involving three vehicles.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police Dept and METS ambulance responded emergency.

On the scene we learn from Cpl Tim Hudson of JPD the crash involved a commercial vehicle and two passenger cars.

One vehicle required Joplin Fire to perform a small “door pop”, also known as an extrication, as one person was trapped inside a vehicle.

Cpl Hudson says two people were transported non-emergency to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Chuck’s Towing removed one vehicle from the scene.  The other two were able to drive away on their own power.

One Joplin has created the Neighborhood Identification Map.  It designates nearly 100 neighborhoods, developments and former towns that are now encompassed by the city of Joplin.  This crash in the Eastmorland Neighborhood borders Campbell Park South Neighborhood.  What Neighborhood do you live in?
