Driver thrown in rollover crash, “she’s lucky”, Trooper states

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — About 9:30 a.m. Friday Jasper County E911 were alerted to reports of a crash near CR-120 and East Fir Road, east of Carthage.

Carthage Fire Dept, Jasper County Deputies, and Mercy Carthage responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene the vehicle was off the roadway in a field. It had traveled through two fences.

Tpr J. Drum tells us the vehicle was westbound on Fir Road, lost control, on what the driver described as a “hump”. The hump was the stop sign at Fir Road and CR-120.

After leaving the road, the vehicle traveled about 450 feet, overturning, ejecting the driver.

The driver suffered moderate injuries. She will survive. He states, “she’s very lucky.” She was not wearing her seat belt.

Schrader’s Towing removed the Honda CRV from the crash scene.
