Humboldt man killed in a wreck with a semi

NEOSHO COUNTY, Kan. – A man dies following a crash in Neosho County, Kansas.

It happened Monday a little before 1:00 p.m. on K-47 at Elk Road. Kansas Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Carol Hucke of Parsons, Kansas and her passenger 71-year-old Charles Greer of Humboldt, Kansas were traveling east when they turned in front of a semi.

The semi hit the passenger side of the car, killing Greer. Hucke was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Pryor man killed in wreck between motorcycle and semi

MAYES COUNTY, Okla. – A Pryor, Oklahoma man dies in motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the in happened around 2:52 p.m. on OK-69A at Stretch Film Way in Mayes County, Oklahoma. Police say 30-year-old Ethan Foster died from massive injuries sustained in a wreck with a semi.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation

Galena man killed after his motorcycle hit a telephone pole

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. – A Galena, Kansas man is dead following a Motorcycle crash. The wreck happened 0.3 miles North of the State Line Road & 21st Street intersection in Galena.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Theodore Lane III was driving southbound on State Line Road. Lane left the roadway, struck a telephone pole and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Plane crash kills couple from El Dorado Springs

MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) – Two people from Missouri died when a small plane crashed into a cornfield in eastern Iowa’s Muscatine County, authorities said.

The single-engine Piper went down Wednesday afternoon about 4 miles north of Muscatine, Sheriff Quinn Riess said.

Daniel Slack, 68, and Sharon Slack, 69, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, died in the crash. Daniel Slack was superintendent of schools in Deerfield, Kansas, from 2015 until he retired last year, KSNW-TV reported.

A preliminary investigation determined the plane took off from Ford Airport near Iron Mountain, Michigan, to fly back to Missouri, Riess said.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating the cause of the crash.

11 people injured in southwestern Missouri crash

HOLLISTER, Mo. (AP) – Eleven people have been treated for mostly minor injuries after a shuttle bus and a car collided in southwestern Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 12:25 a.m. Monday in Taney County, in the Branson area. Two passengers on the bus were treated for moderate injuries. The other passengers and both drivers suffered minor injuries.

The patrol says the bus was turning onto Highway 86 and was struck by a Ford Mustang. All of the bus passengers were from Branson. The bus driver is from Holiday Hills, Arkansas, and the Mustang driver is from Ridgedale, Missouri.

12-year-old boy injured in Branson roller coaster accident

BRANSON, Mo. (AP) – A 12-year-old boy is hospitalized after an accident at a roller coaster attraction in Branson.

Branson officials say the accident happened about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at The Branson Coaster. Emergency responders found the child trapped on a ride with what appeared to be serious injuries. The child had to be extricated. He was flown by helicopter to a Springfield hospital. Details about his injuries have not been released.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall’s office is investigating the cause of the accident.

One dead in head-on crash near Carl Junction

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. – Carl Junction, Missouri police investigate a fatal head-on crash on MO-171 north of Gum Road.

Authorities say  77-year-old Viola Haag of Carl Junction was heading north when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound car head-on. The driver of the other vehicle, 40-year-old Adam Dillow of Joplin, died from his injuries.

Haag was taken to Mercy Hospital with what police described as disabling injuries.

Parsons man killed in NE Oklahoma wreck

NOWATA, Okla. – A Parsons, Kansas man is dead following a crash in Nowata County, Oklahoma Sunday evening

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 7:17 p.m. on U.S. 169, 10 miles north of Nowata, Oklahoma. A car driven by 50-year-old Christopher Alvarado of Parsons collided with another vehicle driven by 56-year-old Betty Koscelny of Delaware, Oklahoma.

Alvarado was pronounced dead at the scene. Koscelny and Alvarado’s passenger, 50-year-old Coletta Alvarado of Parsons, were transported to the hospital with injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

One dead; two seriously injured in Woodson County wreck

WOODSON COUNTY, Kan. – One man is dead and two others injured following a crash in Woodson County, Kansas.

The crash happened Saturday at 1:50 p.m.  on US-75 and 10th road just ten miles south of Yates Center. According to Kansas Highway Patrol, 83-year-old Raymond McIntosh of Buffalo, Kansas failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle in the intersection.

McIntosh later died at the hospital. The two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to Coffey County Hospital with serious injuries.
