Jeep overturns on Joplin’s S Rangeline, coming to rest at Shady Lane Trailer Park sign

JOPLIN, Mo. – Just before 7:45 p.m. Tuesday night reports of a single vehicle crash in the 4700 block of S Rangeline alerted Joplin E911 Dispatch.  The vehicle was reported to be upside down off the roadway.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police Dept, Newton County Ambulance and Newton County Deputies responded.

On the scene we observed a Jeep upside down on the west side of the road next to the Shady Lane Trailer Park sign.

Joplin Police tell us the northbound vehicle went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and then crossed the road to the left and overturned after striking an embankment.

Two occupants of the vehicle and both were able to climb out on their own.  They were checked out by EMS and refused medical treatment, thus making it a non-injury crash.

Comer’s Wrecker was contacted to remove the crashed vehicle.

3-vehicle crash, one ends on its side, 7th and Maiden Lane

JOPLIN, Mo. — Just before 5 p.m. reports of a crash at 7th and Maiden Lane alerted Joplin Dispatch.

On scene Cpl Brett Davis tells us three vehicles were involved and one ended on its side.

GOOGLE MAP LOCATION OF CRASH.  USE FINGERS TO ZOOM OR PAN THE AREA. 

Partial lane closures in north and south lanes of Maiden Lane lasted until the area was cleared around 5:45 p.m.

Affordable Towing and Comer’s Wrecker removed the vehicles and debris from the scene.

Van overturns in rear-end crash

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Just after 5 p.m. Wednesday Newton County Central Dispatch were alerted to reports of a two-vehicle crash on State Route V, at Cortez Lane, just east of I-49.

Redings Mill Fire District responded quickly as their station is located about 1 mile west of the crash. Along with Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies and Newton County Ambulance. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.


We learn on scene a van was knocked on its side after being rear-ended by a passenger car.

No reported injuries as all drivers refused medical care.

Comer’s Wrecker removed both vehicles from the crash scene.
