JOPLIN, Mo. – The City of Joplin says its online payment option for utility bills is now operational.
On July 7, the City announced temporary changes due to computer system issues. Joplin then launched an investigation into its issues with the help of a cybersecurity firm.
Today, Joplin gave an update about some of its services.
In addition to online payments, residents can now make in-person payments with credit cards at both the Finance Department window for utility bills and the Municipal Court offices for court fines.
“Our investigation into the recent network security incident remains ongoing; we will continue to provide updates as appropriate. Thank you for your patience,” the City stated in a release.
