SUV overturns in collision with pickup, Duquesne Road

JOPLIN, Mo. — About 2:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022 reports of a two vehicle crash, one overturned, at 32nd and Duquesne Road alerted Joplin Emergency Dispatch.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police and EMS responded. Duquesne Police Dept responded to assist with traffic.

On the scene we learn from Joplin Police Ofc Hayden Hinkle there were no injuries in either vehicle. No one was transported to a hospital.

Rosenberg Towing removed the overturned Tahoe. And Chuck’s Towing removed the pickup.

The crash and all debris was cleared in less than an hour, about 3:30 p.m.

Crash on Rangeline takes out stop sign at 11th, two transported to hospital

JOPLIN, Mo. — Just before 11 p.m. Sunday night reports of a crash in the 1100 block of S Rangeline alerted Joplin Emergency Dispatch.

| JUST PRIOR TO CRASH >> Joplin News First cameras were at a commercial structure fire just a few miles away at 3800 E 20th.

Joplin Fire, Joplin Police and METS ambulance responded to the parking lot of LendNation, 1102 S Rangeline.

Joplin Police tell us on scene two vehicles were involved. One was traveling south, and the second pulled from a business on the east side, to travel south. They collided in the roadway and both traveled into the property of LendNation.

One car came to rest, taking out a stop sign on the corner and the other crashed to a halt into a utility pole.

Two people were transported to an area hospital from one vehicle. They both suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two from the other vehicle were not injured.

South Rangeline was partially blocked for about an hour.

City of Joplin Public Works were notified of the stop sign taken out at 11th Street.

Liberty Utilities responded to inspect the pole for damage, it is unknown if they replaced it overnight. There were no outages reported in the area.

Chuck’s Towing removed the vehicles from the crash scene.

Rear-ended at highway speed, car is smashed as pickup overturns

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – About 6:15 a.m. reports of a two-vehicle crash at 7th and Central City, west of Joplin alerted Jasper County E-911.

Carl Junction Fire Dept, Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies and METS ambulance responded.  Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT Emergency Response were notified.

On the scene Tpr J.D. Fischer of Troop D tells us both vehicles were traveling westbound on 7th.  The passenger car slowed to turn north onto Central City Road and was rear-ended at highway speed by the pickup truck, which then overturned.  The crash came to rest northwest of the intersection taking down a southbound stop sign.

Tpr Fischer tells us no one required transport to a hospital.

Two people in the passenger car and one driver in the pickup.  All three people involved were wearing seat belts.

Steady rains, wet roadways; Car leaves I-49 overturns near Tipton Ford, Mo.

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. – Just after 3:15 p.m. Wednesday Newton County Central Dispatch were alerted to reports of a car overturned near Tipton Ford on I-49.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Ambulance, and Newton County Deputies were alerted. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene the crash was located at 33.8 mile marker, near the end of the on-ramp, Gateway to I-49 north.

The vehicle was traveling north on I-49, left the roadway to the right and overturned, coming to a rest on it’s top.

The driver remained on scene and refused medical care.

Meteorologist Doug Heady this afternoon reminds of how much rain has fallen. “We have already had very heavy amounts of rain today, but much more to come over the next 36 hours. Watch out for the flash flooding.”

Chuck’s Towing removed the passenger car from the scene.

Tired driver goes off road, overturns against rock embankment

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Around 9:15 p.m. Saturday night Newton County Central Dispatch were alerted to reports of a crash along Gateway near River Road.

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Ambulance, Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

We learn on the scene from Tpr T.R. Morris it was a one vehicle crash.

The minivan was traveling south on Gateway nearing the bottom of the hill approaching River Road. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and then overturned violently against the exposed rock embankment.

The male driver was the only occupant. He was not injured. He was wearing his seat belt.

Troopers believe the driver fell asleep while driving.

Chuck’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
