The Independent Living Center receives $10K grant

On Thursday, February 26th, The Independent Living Center received a $10,000.00 grant thanks to the generosity of the Coover Charitable Foundation Trust, The Commerce Trust Company, and Community Foundation of the Ozarks. KDOT & PSU partner on solar lighting project

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) and Pittsburg State University (PSU) have developed a survey to obtain input from the traveling public regarding the self-sufficient solar powered LED pavement lights at the U.S. 169/Plummer Road and U.S. 169/Chanute-Humboldt Road (old 169) interchanges.The solar lights were installed at the interchanges in the autumn of 2013.
