The Independent Living Center receives $10K grant
On Thursday, February 26th, The Independent Living Center received a $10,000.00 grant thanks to the generosity of the Coover Charitable Foundation Trust, The Commerce Trust Company, and Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) and Pittsburg State University (PSU) have developed a survey to obtain input from the traveling public regarding the self-sufficient solar powered LED pavement lights at the U.S. 169/Plummer Road and U.S. 169/Chanute-Humboldt Road (old 169) interchanges.The solar lights were installed at the interchanges in the autumn of 2013.
