Freeman Health Systems Honors EMS Workers
Freeman Health System honored the men and women who save lives responding to medical emergencies. The hospital held a thank you lunch for its emergency medical service workers. Freeman treated the workers to grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. It was all a part of EMS Week, and hospital officials say they hope the event shows the EMS practitioners that they are appreciated. It’s the 44th year for EMS Week. President Gerald Ford authorized the first in 1974.
