Jedediah Stout will serve 63 months in prison for destroying a mosque and trying twice to burn down Planned Parenthood in Joplin. Once his 63-month sentence is completed, he will serve 3 years on supervised probation. He will also pay more than $700,000 in restitution.

Bobby Bourne Jr’s lawyers requested a change of venue because of publicity about the case.  Bourne had plead not guilty to first-degree murder, statutory rape and child kidnapping in the August 2013 death of Adriaunna Horton.  On Thursday a judge ordered a jury to be selected in Buchanan County and brought to Barton County for the trial, which is scheduled to begin September 21, 2015.

Charges have been filed against the suspect involved in a weekend shooting with Joplin police officers. The shooting occurred during what began as a routine car stop shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

In February 2011 the body of Jack McCain, 68 of Rogers, was found on a rural county road about eight miles east of Jane, Missouri in McDonald County. McCain had been shot multiple times. Tuesday night Fred Bremer, 39, was arrested and has been charged with first degree murder in McCain’s death.
