Douglas Eugene Hopper

Douglas Eugene Hopper, 66, a resident of Afton passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at his home. Mr. Hopper was born on March 7, 1956, in Walnut Creek, California to Norman Eugene and Edna L. (Frazier) Hopper. He attended school in Anitoch, California and then on to Medaros College in Pittsburg, California. He worked for many years as a machinist. Several of those years were at 3M in Claremore, Oklahoma where he was the one of the foremen. He was known to his family as a big jokester and loved motorcycles. Mr. Hopper’s parents precede him in passing.

Survivors include his daughter Kimberly Dawn Hopper-Hibbard and her husband Bradley, of Inola, his sons Dakota Hopper and Emmie Ellis of Grove, and Jeremy Peters and his wife Jocelyn. His grandchildren include, Prestyn Peters, Parker Peters, Kaadan Hopper, Chloe Hopper, Kenzie Hopper, Karleigh Hibbard, McKinley Hopper, Evenleigh Hopper, his mother June Hopper along with his brothers and sister, Rhnotta Betz, Clark Hopper, Craig Hopper, and Pete Rozell.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.

Services will follow 2:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland with Reverend Geoff Buffalo officiating. Interment will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove.
