Raymond Dozier Threet, age 93, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 2:11 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born August 20, 1929, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Raymond graduated in 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee, and was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of a painting company and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Christian Church.

On July 22, 2006, he married his wife of 16 years, Linda Kay Choate, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one son, Lonnie Threet and his brother, Roy Threet.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon.
