Monday blog: Big temperature drop and some very gusty winds -Chris

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend was enjoyable, albeit a bit on the cool side. We have a pretty decent Monday and even Tuesday lined up for us, but, ahead of our next system, we’re going to see winds increase with the temperatures.

Winds will increase this evening with gusts pushing 30mph by 8:00. Clouds will also begin to increase.

As we head into Tuesday, temperatures continue to climb, but so do wind gusts. Winds Tuesday could gust as high as 50mph so be sure your outdoor Christmas displays are well anchored and I would advise against inflating them.

For today, we’re heading into the lower to mid-50s for highs with mostly clear skies for the majority of the day.

We fall back into the 40s overnight, but temps slowly rise toward sunrise. Winds will continue to increase as well, with those gusts pushing 50mph early tomorrow morning.

Our next system Tuesday doesn’t do a lot for us in terms of precipitation, however, take a look at the Future Track. Temps Tuesday pushing into the lower to mid 60s and as the front passes through…Temps drop quickly in to the 20s and we only make it into the upper 30s and lower 40s on Wednesday.

We do have better chances of rain heading into the weekend.

Your long range forecast is below.

Chris
