Barbara Paxson, age 57 of Baxter Springs, passed away at 12:20 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital of Joplin, MO.

Barbara was born in Baxter Springs on May 26, 1965 to the union of Eddie Ray Price and Beatrice Faye Price. She lived in Quapaw and Baxter Springs all of her life. She was a 1983 graduate from Quapaw High School.

Barbara was a cosmetologist for several years, and also worked for Walmart Supercenter. She enjoyed crafting, especially making wreaths, getting her nails done, and traveling. She was a member of Spring River Assembly of God in Riverton, KS.

Barbara married Steve Paxson on June 1, 1996. He survives of the home. Barbara is also survived by two daughters, Alexis Paxson Clark (husband, Cody Clark) of Baxter Springs, KS, and Sarah Paxson (partner, Allen Davis) of Pittsburg, KS; one step-daughter, Emily (Paxson) Bright (husband, David) of Alamosa, CO;her mother, Bea Price of Quapaw, OK; one sister Pam Price (partner, Bill Womack) of Quapaw, OK; one granddaughter, Khaleesi Clark; one grandchild on the way; four step-grandchildren, Taylor, Marcus, Jasmine, and Bentley; and one nephew Chase Price (partner, Shania) of Peoria, OK.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Spring River Assembly of God in Riverton, KS. Pastor Roger Scantlin will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 5-6:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel.
