KOAM Morning Show’s Thanksgiving dishes

It’s hard to believe that sometimes a whole year passes by quickly. Thanksgiving is already almost here and like last year — our KOAM family brings dishes for you to make at home. From our News Assistants to our on-air talent — everyone has something to contribute. Each recipe is prepared with the utmost care and love. Below you’ll find the recipes for everything that was made today:

Green bean casserole:

  • 2 cans of French-cut green beans
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 2 cups of fried onions
  • Half a cup of shredded cheese

Cinnamon Monkey Bread:

  • 2 oz Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/4 cup of dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chopped pecans (optional)

 

3 Cheese mac:

  • 1 package elbow macaroni or Fusilli pasta
  • 6 tablespoons of butter (cubed)
  • 4 cups of 2% milk (warmed)
  • 4 cups of shredded gruyere cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 and a 1/2 cups panko bread
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)

Pumpkin Pie:

  • 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of vanilla creamer
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • A dollop of whip cream to the puree
  • Graham cracker crust

Strawberry cake mix cookies:

  • 15 oz of strawberry cake mix
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips

Chicken flavored stuffing:

  • 1 box of stuffing (chicken flavored)
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/2 stick of butter

Finnish donuts (munkki):

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 (2 oz) cube fresh yeast or 1 and 1/5 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 quart of canola oil (for frying)
  • 3/4 cup of sugar (for garnish)

Cheesy potato casserole with cornflakes:

  • 1 bag frozen hash browns (shredded or cubed)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of cornflakes (or more if desired)

Simple peasant bread:

  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 cups of lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons of softened butter

Roasted sweet potatoes:

  • 3 lbs of sweet potatoes
  • Granulated garlic
  • Maple syrup dust
  • Honey
  • Cayenne

Brown gravy:

  • Beef stock or beef broth
  • Flour
  • Butter
  • Seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, bay leaf)
