Raymond C. Glaser

Raymond Charles Glaser 94, of Pittsburg, KS died 10:35am Saturday November 12, 2022 in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Raymond was born September 22, 1928 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Raymond Carl and Vivian Ann (Marvin) Glaser. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools. Raymond was later drafted in the Army and served in the Korean War. He later married Melva Deane Miller in Miami, OK; she preceded him in death on February 20, 2016. Raymond worked at Dickey Clay in Pittsburg, KS and later the Parsons Ammunition Plant before retiring in 1991. Raymond was of the Christian Faith; was known as a mentor and influencer in the community; was known to help others in need; enjoyed taking care of his cattle and most of all his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son Kelly Glaser and Elaine Guss of Pittsburg, KS; brother Wayne Glaser and wife Sharon of Cherokee, KS; grandchildren Rowdy Glaser and wife Alicia of Cherokee, KS, Lacy Aumann and husband Brandon of Pittsburg, KS and Jenae Whistler of Pittsburg, KS; great-grandchildren Bryer Glaser, Bailey Glaser, Jamie Hoover, Blake Hoover, Austina Hawkins and Braxton Brown.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step-mother Imogene Glaser, sisters Patty Ann Glaser and Charlene Bower and brother in-law Buck Bower.
Graveside Services will be 12:30pm Monday November 21, 2022 at the Fort Scott National Cemetery in Ft. Scott, KS with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Military honors will be conducted following graveside services. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00pm Sunday November 20, 2022 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; friends may call after 3:00pm Sunday.
