Leonard Leroy Windle, 90, a longtime Miami resident passed away at his home on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Mr. Windle was born on July 24, 1932 in Mitchell, Nebraska to Charles and Eva (Pryor) Windle. Leonard married his love of seventy-one years in Pryor, Oklahoma on June 1, 1951, Carol Manley. Leonard worked at B.F. Goodrich for thirty-six years then after its closing he worked at Wal-Mart in Miami finishing as a manager in the Hardware Department. Leonard was known to anything for anybody, he could fix just about anything too. He and Carol enjoyed being at the Lake and traveling in their motorhome. Mr. Windle was preceded in passing by his parents Charles and Eva, a son Len Windle, a grandson Seth Warford and his brothers and sisters Myrtle Worrell, Charles Windle, Jim Windle and Rosemary Holman.
Those left to share Leonard’s Legacy are his wife Carol Windle of the home, his daughters Cathy Taylor and her husband Dennis of Miami and Diane Warford of Pryor, his grandchildren Corey Taylor, Christy Murphy, Angela Reynolds, Josh Windle and Jessica Barlow, his great grandchildren are Grant Taylor, Graysen Taylor, Garren Taylor, Gillian Taylor, Griffin Taylor, Jaiden Hedrick, Jonas Hedrick, Ethan Reynolds, Aubrey Reynolds, Evan Reynolds, Harper Windle, Eli Windle, Bryson Barlow, and Brody Barlow.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery with Reverend Geoff Buffalo officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
