Michael “Mike” A. Lawrence passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Michael was born on January 4, 1960, in Carthage, Missouri. He was the son of Bill and Ruth Lawrence. He lived away from Carthage most of his adult life.
Michael is survived by one daughter, Paige Lawrence of Pierce City, Missouri; a brother, Dale Lawrence (Gail), Carthage, Missouri; three sisters, Ellen Smith (Dean), Carthage, Missouri, Karen Brandt, Lexington, Oklahoma, and Lori McDonald (Wayne), Mt. Home, Arkansas; and several nieces, and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Lawrence; and a brother, James “Jimmy” Lawrence.
Michael was taken for cremation, and a private family burial will take place at Fasken Cemetery near Carthage, Missouri, at a later time. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
