Bill J Landrum

Bill J. Landrum, 63, a longtime Afton resident passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on January 30, 1959 in Grove, Oklahoma to Leo and Mary Elizabeth (Jackson) Landrum. In 1982 Bill married his love of forty years in Afton Doris Ann Hayes. Bill worked for years as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for different companies in road construction. Bill enjoyed kids. He started up the Pee Wee football program in Afton. He loved being with and going to his grandkid’s activities. Bill was known to be happy go lucky and never met a stranger. Mr. Landrum was preceded in passing by his parents Leo and Mary Landrum, his brother George Landrum, and sisters Shirley Blackwell and Shawna Seabolt.
Survivors include his wife Doris Landrum of the home, his children Cari Burrow and her husband Josh and Cody Landrum and his wife Kari all of Afton, his grandchildren Taylie Burrow, Blaine Burrow, Cash Burrow, Jerrod Landrum, Kendal Landrum and Carter Landrum, his brothers Jack Landrum and his wife Lori of Monkey Island, John Landrum and his wife Sandy of Grove, a sister Leona Allen, and her husband Barry of Eucha. Other surviving relatives are his uncle Jack Jackson and his wife Peggy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church in Afton with Reverend Brian Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sixkiller Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton.
