St. Louis, Mo. – St. Louis Police say at 9:10 a.m. they responded to reports of a shooter at St. Louis Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.
Officers engaged with the shooter, with a long gun, and he is deceased.
One adult female was transported to an area hospital and died. A teenage female was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Hundreds of students fled the building, many of them running.

St. Louis Police Chief Mike Sack addressed the media answering a question about the shooter. He said he believes the shooter is about 20 years old. They have located his vehicle nearby.
Parents are being advised to reunite with children at nearby 5101 McRee Ave.
“Police are on site at Central Visual and Performing Arts this morning following reports of an active shooter and both CVPA and Collegiate are on lockdown.
The shooter was quickly stopped by police inside CVPA.” — St. Louis Public Schools
