Kylar David Olmstead, age 17, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kylar was born October 6, 2005 in Columbia, Missouri, and moved to Joplin recently where he was a Junior at Joplin High School.  He was an avid video gamer, and enjoyed skateboarding, cooking, and mainly making people laugh.  He had the biggest caring heart and would light up the room when he entered.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his mom and dad Angelica and Steve Pfeifer of Joplin, and father Eric Olmstead; brothers, Sye Olmstead of Denison, Iowa, Tytan Olmstead of Springfield, Oregon, and step-brother Dylon Olmstead of Kansas City, Missouri; grandparents, Brenda McCormack of Kansas City, Missouri, and Robert Byrd of Florence, Oregon; and several other extended family members.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with no formal services planned at this time.
