Weekend Blog: Big storm system arrives on Monday. -Doug

I hope you had a great week and of course looking forward to the weekend.  What a wild week.  Two nights of record lows and now we are pushing record highs.  Finally we have rain chances right back in the forecast as well.  Lets look at the weekend.

We are going to have a lot of clouds and it will be windy, so not the best weekend to burn.  Lets jump into Monday.  By mid to late morning, showers will start to increase.  Then periods of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, which we greatly need.

We will get a break Monday night but then a second wave rolls in on Tuesday.

Now, in this years Heady Pattern, the cycle is much shorter than last years 64 days.  That cold snap this week will return a few times this winter with arctic air.  These systems will also return and our pretty good tracks to get some wintry weather form them.  So that excites me for sure.  Most of the rain will be out of here by Tuesday evening.  We need some heavy rains and I think this storm system as of right now, should produce 1-3″ of rain.

Chilly and dry after this system until another system moves in on Friday.  Additional rain chances Friday.

Long range forecast is below.

Next Weekend:  Rain could linger into Saturday morning, then a mild and dry weekend with highs in the 60s.

October 30th-November 5th:  A mild week with rain chances on Thursday and Friday.

November 6th-12th:  Cooling down early in the week with showers on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.  Warming back up a bit toward the weekend.

November 13th-19th:  Mainly a mild week with rain chances on Thursday and Friday.

November 20th-26th:  A cold first half of the week with slight rain chances on Monday.  Warming up a bit late in the week with rain chances on Friday and Satureday.

November 27th-December 3rd:  Mainly a cold week with rain or snow chances mid week.
