Community rallies for 5K fundraiser

FAIRLAND, Okla. — A Fairland, Oklahoma woman is showing strength in the face of adversity.

Kimberly Chase, her husband, and two children along with friends have joined in the fight against cancer.

Kim went to the emergency room for a kidney stone in July 2020, where she learned she had stage 4 colorectal cancer.

It had spread to her liver and lungs.

Doctors told Kim she had 6 months to live but it has been 2 years and 4 months since the diagnosis.

To raise money for her treatment, Kim’s family has set up a 5k fun run starting at 9 A.M. on Saturday, October 21 at First Christian Church in Fairland.
