Janet Hollon, age 76, of Webb City, passed away on October 14th, 2022. She was born on January 2, 1946 to Willard Howard & Katherine (Shepard) Petitt in Smithville. Janet married her late husband, Oren Earl Hollon, on June 9, 1966 in Smithville.

Janet had attended Smithville High School through the 11th grade. She worked at Freeman Hospital for over 15 years as a sterilization tech. Janet loved puzzles, crosswords, Peggle, and Mystery PI. She loved listening to music – anything 50s and 60s. If the music was blaring, that meant she was cleaning and you better leave her alone.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Hollon; her sister, Roberta Jean Shaw; and her brothers, Willard Lee “Jack” and Jerald Dean “Jerry”.

Janet is survived by her sister, Judy Kay & husband, Rick Smith; three children, Oren Earl Hollon & wife Amy of Whiteboro, TX; Christopher Michael Hollon & wife Angie of Oronogo, MO; Tanya Sue Greenlee & husband Jerry of Sarcoxie, MO; 7 grandchildren, Natasha James of Webb City, MO, Anthony Hollon of Indiana, Miranda Rogers of Parsons, KS, Michael Rogers of Iola, KS, Justin Hollon of Indiana, Lindsay Enochs & husband DJ of Webb City, MO, and Michale Hollon of Smithville, MO; and more than 12 great grandchildren, Savannah, Teagan, Faithlynn, Tayte, Aydyn, Deesyl, Kaiser, Jerrikah, Izzy, Kaislee, Dustee, and Wiott.

A visitation will be held on October 28, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City, MO at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow with Chaplain Kyle Beverlin of the funeral home officiating.
