Latest Blog: After another cold night, temps warm up. Also, some thunderstorms. -Doug

I hope everyone has had a great week so far and staying warm.   Tuesday only had highs in the upper 40s.  Now that the new Heady Pattern is completely set, we know this part of the pattern will return several times during the winter.  That means some big arctic air snaps again for the winter months.  First off, Wednesday starts off with record lows.  Most of us will start into the lower 20s to start the day.  However, the afternoon will still be well below normal but we will start to warm up with highs into the upper 50s.

We should push 70 on Thursday and next 80 by Friday.  That is a wild swing.

As we work into the weekend, plenty of sunshine with warm temperatures that will be near 80 degrees through the weekend.

We will stick near 80 on Sunday but our weather pattern picks up by early next week.  We get into a more active flow.

You can see the energy diving into the SW US.  Just like the part of the pattern we are in today, this part of the Heady Pattern will repeat as well.  So at least we know that rain will start slowly picking up the rest of the month.  Showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible on Monday.

We will cool right back down behind this system for the middle of next week.  Long range forecast is below.
