The Lord called Shirley Lea Banes to His Kingdom on Friday, October 7, 2022. Shirley was the 11th child of 12 born to Riley and Flora Walker the 29th day of March 1935 in Liberty, Missouri. Shirley married Charles Eugene Banes on September 6, 1953, in Bronaugh, Missouri.
Shirley and Gene enjoyed family life with their three children; Mike, Linda Sue, and Teresa. Shirley has 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 16th from 1-5:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Shirley will be laid to rest in a private family burial at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, Missouri on Monday, October 17th. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in her memory to Bronaugh School in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
