Bobby “Bob” Lee Pruitt of Commerce, OK passed from this life Monday, October 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 74.

Bob was born April 1, 1948 in Miami, OK to Darrell and Mattie (Booth) Pruitt. He had lived in the Commerce and Miami area most of his life. Bob attended Commerce schools until his senior year. He graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa, OK class of 1966 and attended 1 year at Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. He had worked at Newman Boat Manufacturing in North Miami, OK, B.F. Goodrich in Miami, Newell Coach in North Miami, OK and owned and operated Pruitt’s Construction. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK. He loved woodworking, making canes, fishing and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Mike Pruitt.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia (Fell) Pruitt of the home, 2 sons, Doug Pruitt of Miami, OK and Gary Pruitt and wife Misti of Miami, OK, 3 brothers, Steve Helm of Grove, OK, Curtis Wilcox of Grove, OK and Tracey Gill of Joplin, MO, 2 sisters, Tennie Longdon of Anderson, MO and Janie Hall of Springfield, MO, 5 grandchildren, Jessica McCoy, Kaylee Pruitt, Kassidy Pruitt, Natalee Pruitt and Kody Pruitt and 5 great grandchildren, Cameron Poor, Layla Carrillo, Veda Cox, Jasper Zabel and Asher Shelton.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Northeast Oklahoma Memorial Veterans Cemetery in North Miami, OK. Rev. Paul Case will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
