Rain on the way plus some fall like temps -Chris

Good Monday morning to you all, I hope your week is off to a great start. If not, then some rain chances might brighten your day.

A look at the radar this morning shows where those storms are in Oklahoma. The system spawning them will move off to the northeast and eventually bring us shower and thunderstorm chances.

Ahead of all of that, allergy sufferers are getting some good news as pollen counts continue to drop. We’re looking at a 4.5 out of 12 today and a 2.7 out of 12 for tomorrow.

The rain will stay away for most of today giving us partly cloudy skies and a high right around 79°. Still a bit warm and we’ll have a gusty southwest breeze pushing 20mph.

Heading into tonight, shower and thunderstorm chances ramp up across the area late and hang on through Tuesday morning.

Thunderstorms will be off and on Tuesday and Wednesday, but our best chances for more widespread showers and storms is on Wednesday. We are watching a very low severe threat Tuesday and Wednesday across the area, with Tuesday looking like the best day for any potential strong storms. Widespread severe activity isn’t expected, but one or two of the storms may get a bit nasty and if they do, we’ll keep an eye on them for you.

Once the storms move out late Wednesday, we clear out, stay cool until the upcoming weekend, when we see another system with fall like temps and some chances for showers and storms.
