News to Know: Murder charges and celebrating Columbus Days

TULSA, Ok. — Tulsa police name a suspect in the shooting that happened at a McClain High School football game. The suspect is 16-year-old Niavien Lee Golde. He’s accused of shooting and killing 17-year-old Terron Yarbrough and injuring 3 others including a 9-year-old girl. Golden is charged with first-degree murder and 3 counts of shooting with intent to kill.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Ok. — 4 inmates escaped the Ottawa County jail on Tuesday — all are back in custody. Rusty Reece — was shortly captured afterward. Buck Martindale was captured on Wednesday morning. Tyler Tavis was arrested Friday morning in Joplin. That same afternoon Daniel Zajicek was found inside a home in Miami and taken into custody. 2 other people were arrested at the home. All 4 inmates are facing new charges from the escape.

WEBB CITY, Mo. — Late Sunday afternoon — a tanker rollover happened on the McArthur roundabout. The driver of the tanker did not sustain any serious injuries — but he was transported to a local hospital. The McArthur roundabout was closed to eastbound traffic for cleanup.
