Thursday blog: Strong cold front brings cooler temps for a couple of days and a look at rain chances -Chris

Good morning everyone, I hope your Thursday is off to a great start. We’re that much closer to the weekend!

We’ve got good news for allergy sufferers as pollen counts continue to drop over the next several days. We’re looking at a 4.9 out of 12 for today and a 4.4 out of 12 for Friday.

For your evening commute home, we’ve got a green light as we’re looking at partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 70s. Good driving weather all around, maybe put the top down or hop on your hog and take a nice evening drive.

For today we’re looking at our last 80° day for a few days. A high of 82° with partly cloudy skies. Ahead of our cold front, the wind shifts out of the north and could gust upwards of 20mph.

Heading into tonight, we get a bit cooler, partly cloudy skies continue and we drop to a low of 51° and some of us could even get down into the upper 40s tonight.

The cold front doesn’t freeze us out, but gives us good fall like weather for the weekend as we dip back into the 70s and we watch increasing rain chances heading into Sunday.

Rain chances hold on through at least Thursday of next week. We’re not talking a ton of rain right now, but it’s rain chances nonetheless and any rain we can get is helpful.

We return to the lower to mid 80s by next week.

Your long range forecast is below.
