Carrie Joan Shay, 80, of Fredonia passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Carrie was born on July 28, 1942 in Thayer, KS the daughter of Virgil and Dottie Crystal (Moses) Stipp.

Carrie was a member of the Thayer United Methodist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW in Fredonia. Carrie retired after 12 years at the Vintage Park Assisted Living in Fredonia. On June 5,1993, Carrie married George R Shay. Carrie and George were married for 15 years until his death in September of 2010.

Jason Chastain of MO.

Six Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, Seven brothers and Two sisters

Cremation has been requested, with no further services planned at this time. Memorials have been suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
