Janet Kathleen “Kitty” Carson, 85, of Parsons, Kansas , passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Good Samaritan

Kitty was born on October 8, 1936 to her father Donahue Allen Maher and mother Ida Augusta (Hass) Maher in Sheridan Wyoming. As a young girl she grew up in Salem, Missouri and attended Salem High School. Following High School she married John Richard Keitzer on October 8, 1955, they had 4 children together, then later divorced.
Kitty married Jerry L. Carson in Salem, MO on May 17, 1976. They had one daughter together. Following their marriage they lived in Labette and Montgomery County in Kansas.

Kitty worked a lot of her life as a housekeeper, care attendant, a wonderful mother, and grandmother. Kitty loved to spend her days reading her bible, caring for others, playing the piano, singing, sewing, and laughing with and at her family.

Survivors include:

Three daughters – Cindy Willard and husband Eugene of Williamsville, Missouri

Kitten Reynolds and husband Jon of Altamont, Kansas

Janet Woolsey and husband Joe of Altamont, Kansas

12 Grandchildren- Richard Keitzer Jr, Krystal Melvin, Stephen Willard, David Stout, Katrina Mcmullen, Johnny Keitzer, Kyndra Reynolds, Kelsie Reynolds, Michaiah Reynolds, Sophiah Reynolds, Shakota Woolsey, Javen Woolsey, and several step grandchildren.
As well as 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; her husband Jerry Carson; and two sons Richard Dale Keitzer and Johnny Jay Keitzer.

The family is planning a memorial service celebrating her life at a later date.
